Connection example 3.
AV amplifier
By connecting to a regular AV amp or stereo amp, you can enjoy playback with improved sound quality.
¦Connect this player’s audio output jacks to an amp’s CD, LD, AUX or other audio input jacks. (Do not connect to PHONO jacks.)
¦Connect this player’s video output jack to the amplifier’s or receiver's video input jack.
¦When connecting to a digital output, refer to page 70.
¦When connecting to a component bearing the Pioneer ë mark.
If you use a commercially available cord with mini plugs (no resistance) to connect this player’s control input jack to the control output jack of the component bearing the ë mark, you can control the player as though it were a component in a system (system control).
¦If you connect for system control, you cannot operate the player directly by pointing the remote control at it and pressing buttons.
¦When controlling the unit as part of a system, be sure to connect to the amplifier with audio cord even if you are using only digital components.(System control is not possible if you connect using only cables with mini plugs.)
¦If your AV amplifier is a Dolby Pro Logic decoder, you can enjoy surround sound.
¦For more details, refer to the connected component’s operating instructions.
When connecting to a digital output, refer to page 70.
