Using the TV/DTV SETTING

menu

TV SYSTEM

Select your TV system (CABLE STD,

CABLE HRC, CABLE IRC, or ANTENNA).

See "Navigating the menus" on page 20.

AUTO SCAN

To autom atically scan and store allactive channels into the TV's channelm em ory:

In the AUTO SCAN sub-menu, select YES and press ENTER.

To retain yourcurrentchannelm em ory settings:

In the AUTO SCAN sub-menu, select NO and press ENTER.

CHANNEL EDIT

Use this feature to manually add and delete channels in the TV's channel memory.

To m anually add a channelto the channelm em ory:

1.Use the Number buttons on the remote control to tune the TV to the channel you want to add.

2.In the CHANNEL EDIT sub-menu, select ADDED, press ENTER, and then press EXIT.

To m anually delete a channelfrom the channel m em ory:

1.Tune the TV to the channel you want to delete.

2.In the CHANNEL EDIT sub-menu, select SKIPPED, press SEL, and then press EXIT.

LOCAL TIME (applies to DTV only)

In the LOCAL TIME sub-menu, select your time zone (CANADA, EASTERN, CENTRAL, MOUNTAIN, PACIFIC, ALASKA, HAWAII, SAMOA, or NEWFOUNDLAND) and then press EXIT.

DAY LIGHT (applies to DTV only)

When the DAY LIGHT feature is set to ON, the LOCAL TIME will automatically be adjusted for daylight savings time.

In the DAY LIGHT sub-menu, select ON or OFF, and then press EXIT.
