File Number Reset

Setting the File No. Reset to OFF is useful for avoiding file name duplication when files are downloaded to a computer. However, if you want to start numbering files from 0001 after a new SD card is inserted, or after the memory is formatted, or when you experience a ““FILE NUMBER OVER” warning (p. 31), set the File Number Reset mode to ON.

To numbering the files from 0001 when a new SD card is inserted:

1.Insert a new SD card.

2.Turn the camera on and press the button.

3.Press the or arrow to select the REC

Menu.

4.Press the or arrow to select File NO. Reset then press the SET button or arrow to enter its submenu.

5.Press the or to select On and then press the SET button.

6.Press the button twice to close the menu window.

To number the files from 0001 when memory is formatted:

1.Follow steps 2-6 above to set the File No. Reset to ON mode.

2.Format the memory. (Refer to p. 9)
