Connecting to a Computer

“Always do the selected action”

If Always do the selected action is checked when Copy pictures to a folder on my computer (using Nikon View 5) is selected in the Removable Disk dialog, the Removable Disk dialog will not be displayed the next time you connect a camera to the computer or insert a memory card in a card reader or PC card slot. Instead, Nikon Transfer will start automatically.

If Always do the selected action is not checked, the Removable Disk dialog will be dis- played.

Even if you check Always do the selected action, Removable Disk dialog will appear when:

you use a different camera from the one you were using when you checked Always do the selected action

you use a different USB port from the one you were using when you checked Always do the selected action

D1-Series and COOLPIX990/880 Cameras

The Autoplay window will not appear when one of the above cameras is connected; instead, the Nikon Transfer window will appear automatically.
