Turning the Camera On and Off

Ready light

1Rotate the Mode dial to:

for Still capture mode

for Video mode

The ready light blinks green while the camera performs a self-check, then glows green when the camera is ready to take pictures (or videos, if the mode dial is set

to ).

In Still and Video modes, status icons appear on the camera screen. See Checking Camera Status, page 9.

2To turn off the camera, rotate the Mode dial to the OFF position.

The camera completes operations that are in process.

Using the OK and Controller Buttons

Navigating—use the and controller buttons to scroll through your pictures and menus.

Digital Zoom—use to digitally zoom in or out when taking pictures. See page 20.

OK—use OK to make a selection.
