Configuration

7.5.4NAS recording

This is a method to store data on a network-based storage device.

1.

Choose record condition:

 

Select the condition for NAS recording: recording by Schedule, Alarm or

 

Motion to trigger the recording session.

 

If Schedule mode is selected, the data can be stored on the NAS storage in

 

JPEG format only, however both JPEG and MPEG format are available for

 

Alarm and Motion conditions.

2.

After the recording condition has been selected, the corresponding detailed

 

recording field appears. There you can select further conditions which you

 

need to complete the record condition setup.

3.

Select NAS mode, two modes – NFS and CIFS – are available.

 

NFS is for network storage device operating in UNIX systems

 

CIFS is for Windows systems.

4.

Fill in the storage device’s address, the user ID, password, data path where

 

the data is to be stored in the Server, User ID, Password and Path fields,

 

respectively.

5.

Click the “SAVE” button to complete the NAS setup procedure.
