Protecting the Pictures on a Memory Card from Accidental Erasure

Precious pictures recorded on a Memory Card can be locked to prevent accidental erasure. (Even if pictures are locked, the pictures will be deleted when the Memory Card is formatted.)

After setting to the Card Playback Mode (l35).....

Set[CARDFUNCTIONS]>>[CARDEDITING]>>[FILELOCK]

Rotate the [PUSH] Dial to select [PICTURE] or [TITLE], and

 

then press it.

The [FILE LOCK] Menu 1 is displayed.

3 Rotatethe[PUSH]Dialtoselectthepicturetobelocked,and

then press it.

The [ ] Indication 2 is attached to the selected picture. Press the [PUSH] Dial again to cancel.

The same setting can be performed using the short-cut menu (l18).

Deleting the pictures recorded on a Memory Card

Using the Camera/Recorder, you can delete the still pictures and titles recorded on a Memory Card. After the picture hasbeen deleted, it cannot

be restored.

After setting to the Card Playback Mode (l35).....

To Select and Delete Picture(s) by selection

1Set [CARD FUNCTIONS] >> [DELETE PICTURE/TITLE] >> [DELETE PICTURE BY SELECTION] or [DELETE TITLE BY SELECTION].

2Rotate the [PUSH] Dial to select the picture that you want to delete, and then press it.

The selected picture flashes.

To delete more than 1 picture, repeat this step.

3Press the [PHOTO SHOT] Button.

A verification message appears.

4Rotate the [PUSH] Dial to select [YES] and then press it.

The selected picture is deleted from the Memory Card.

To Delete all Pictures

1Set [CARD FUNCTIONS] >> [DELETE PICTURE/TITLE] >>

[DELETE ALL PICTURES].

A verification message appears.

2Rotate the [PUSH] Dial to select [YES] and then press it.

All the pictures stored in the Memory Card are deleted. A locked picture cannot be deleted.

The same setting can be performed using the short-cut menu (l18).
