16 Audio Adjustments

If you make adjustments, Custom curve is up- dated.

Adjusting loudness

Loudness compensates for deficiencies in the low- and high-sound ranges at low volume.

1Touch LOUDNESS on the audio function menu.

2Touch c on the LOUDNESS setting to turn loudness on.

# To turn loudness off, touch d.

3Touch c or d on the MODE setting to select a desired level.

Each time you touch cor d selects level in

the following order:

LOW (low)—MID (mid)—HIGH (high)

Using subwoofer output

This unit is equipped with a subwoofer output which can be turned on or off.

!When the subwoofer output is on, you can adjust the cut-off frequency and the output level of the subwoofer.

1Touch SUB WOOFER on the audio func- tion menu.

# When the PREOUT setting in the initial menu is FULL, you cannot select SUB WOOFER.

2Touch c on the SUBWOOFER setting to turn subwoofer output on.

# To turn subwoofer output off, touch d.

3Touch c or d on the PHASE setting to select the phase of subwoofer output. Touch d to select normal phase and NORMAL appears in the display. Touch c to

select reverse phase and REVERSE appears in the display.

4Touch c or d on the LEVEL setting to adjust the output level of the subwoofer. Each time you touch cor d increases or de- creases the level of the subwoofer. +6 to –6 is displayed as the level is increased or de- creased.

5Touch c or d on the FREQUENCY set- ting to select cut-off frequency.

Each time you touch cor d selects cut-off fre- quencies in the following order: 50Hz—80Hz—125Hz

Only frequencies lower than those in the se-

lected range are outputted from the sub- woofer.

Using nonfading output

When the nonfading output setting is on, the audio signal does not pass through this unit’s low pass filter (for the subwoofer), but is out- putted through the RCA output.

1Touch NON FADING on the audio func- tion menu.

# When the PREOUT setting in the initial menu is only FULL, you can select NON FADING. (Refer to page 94.)

2Touch c on the NON FADING setting to turn non fading output on.

# To turn non fading output off, touch d.
