Cassette Tape Player Operation

Once playback location change is complete, tape display sequence follows.

Cassette Insertion & Eject

“LOADING” appears upon insert and cassette play follows. Press Eject for a motorized eject. “EJECT” appears and radio plays. The following indicates what happens with insert and eject under various conditions:

Cassette Direction/Program Selection

“TAPE 1” indicates top side of tape is in play; “TAPE 2”, bottom side. Press

to reverse tape

direction during playback. Tape automatically changes direction at end of tape.

Cassette Fast Wind

Press << to activate fast rewind (“FAST REW”) or >> to activate fast forward, (“FAST FWD”). To stop FF, press /\, V, << or >> buttons. To stop FR, press /\, V, << or >>.

Super-Cassette Program Search

Press /\ or V once for each track you wish to advance or go back. Display will blink SEARCH plus the number of tracks, e.g. “SEARCH 4” or “SEARCH-4”. If V is pressed more times than current track value, tape will fast-rewind and begin play at first track. If /\ is pressed more times than there are tracks, tape will advance to end of tape, autoreverse and begin play. To stop CPS up function, press << or >> or V. To stop CPS down, press << or >> or /\.

Radio Monitor

Radio can be heard during tape winding modes (FF, FR, Tape Scan, Track Repeat, Cassette Program Search and Blank Skip). When activated (through Menu), RM icon appears during cassette play. Preset stations on last-heard band available during tape winding.
