Connecting to an External Amplifier

(CDA-7894/CDA-7893/CDA-7892 only)

When an external amplifier is connected, sound quality can be improved by stopping the power supply of the buit-in amplifier. The power output is set to OFF by the following procedure.

1 Press and hold the SETUP button for at least 3 seconds.

2 Press the f UP or g DN button to select "PWR- IC" (CDA-7892: "PWR").

3 Press the BAND button to toggle the mode between PWR-IC ON (CDA-7892: PWR ON) and PWR-IC OFF (CDA-7892: PWR OFF).

PWR-IC OFF (CDA-7892: PWR OFF):

When activating the speakers, this setting can be performed by connecting between the front and rear pre-amplifier of the unit and the external amplifier. In this setting, nothing is output to the speakers.

The speakers are driven by the built-in amplifier.

4 Press the SETUP button to return to normal mode.

Setting the Defeat of the External Input

When auxiliary devices such as a TV or video game, etc., are used with this unit, you can use the audio function to set the mode between BASS, TREBLE and MX Defeat ON/OFF.

1 Press and hold the SETUP button for at least 3 seconds.

3 Press the BAND button to toggle the mode between INT ON and INT OFF.
