Retrieving an addressee by Selecting Search (A-Z search)

3 Press 8 or 9 to select an initial letter (A to Z) of the addressee.

4 Turn the Rotary encoder to select the addressee. 5 Press :/J or Rotary encoder to place a call.

6 Press BAND/TEL. to end the call.

Telephone mode will end and return to the original source mode.

If all telephone numbers and registered names cannot be displayed

at once, press DISP/TITLE to show undisplayed numbers and names.

“NO MEM” is displayed if nothing is registered in the Phone Book.

Calling by using the Speed Dial

You can place a call by retrieving one of the telephone numbers registered in No. 1 to 9 of the address book.

1 Press and hold BAND/TEL. for at least 2 seconds.

2 Within 5 seconds, place a call by pressing and holding the desired preset buttons (1 through 6) for at least 2 seconds.

By pressing F/SETUP, and then pressing a preset button (1 through 3) for at least 2 seconds, you can place a call to the number registered in 7 to 9.

You can place a call by pressing :/J after momentarily pressing the preset button (1 through 6) of the number you wish to call.

You can place a call by pressing the Rotary encoder, after selecting a number which you wish to call, by pressing gor f, or by turning the Rotary encoder.

3 Press BAND/TEL. to end the call.

Telephone mode will end and return to the original source mode.

If there is no telephone number registered to a preset button, “NO P-SET” is displayed when you try to place a call.

Calling by the outgoing/incoming/absent incoming history

You can place a call to any of the last 999 calls by the outgoing/ incoming/absent incoming history.

1 Press SEARCH/QS in PHONE BK (Phone Book) mode to select the History mode.

2 Press 8 or 9 to select outgoing history (display example: “DIALED”), incoming history (display example: “RECEIVED” ), absent incoming history (display example: “MISSED”).

3 Turn the Rotary encoder, or press gor fto select the addressee from the outgoing or incoming history.

4 Press :/J or the Rotary encoder to place a call. 5 Press BAND/TEL. to end the call.

Telephone mode will end and return to the original source mode.

If all telephone numbers and registered names cannot be displayed at once, press DISP/TITLE to show undisplayed numbers and names.

“NO MEM” is displayed if there is no incoming history.

SMS (Short Message Service) Operation

You can be informed when you receive a short message.

Receiving a short message

1 When a text message is received, “NEW MSG” is indicated on the display.

The contents of the received message can only be read from the portable phone's display.

2 Press any one of the buttons on the unit to cancel the display. The buttons that are pressed will enter the mode or will be activated.
