Playing at Random — Random Play

The tracks of the loaded MDs will play at random.

1 Insert an MD.

If the current playing source is not the MD deck: When using MD deck A: Press # / 8 on MD deck A (or MD A 6 on the remote control), then 7 for MD deck A (or 7on the remote control) before going to the next step.

When using MD deck B: Press # / 8 on MD deck B (or MD B 6 on the remote control), then 7 for MD deck B (or 7on the remote control) before going to the next step.

2 Press PLAY MODE repeatedly until “MD RANDOM” appears in the main display.

Each time you press the button, play mode changes as follows:

MD PROGRAM MD RANDOM

Canceled (Continuous play)

3 Start play.

When using MD deck A: Press # / 8 on MD deck A (or MD A 6 on the remote control).

The tracks are played at random. Random play ends when all the tracks are played once.

Random play also ends when you eject the MD. When using MD deck B: Press # / 8 on MD deck B (or MD B 6 on the remote control).

The tracks of all inserted MDs are played at random. Random play ends when all the tracks are played once.

You can eject MDs not playing and exchange them during play (without ending random play).

To skip the playing track, rotate the right jog dial clockwise or press ¢`on the remote control.

You cannot go back to the previous tracks by rotating the right jog dial counterclockwise or pressing 41on the remote control.

To stop during play, press 7for the MD deck currently used.

To exit from Random play mode, press PLAY MODE once or twice, before or after play, so that the unit enters another playback mode (Continuous play or Program play mode).

Repeating Tracks — Repeat Play

You can have all the tracks, the program or the individual track currently playing repeat as many times as you like.

To repeat play, press REPEAT during or before playing. Each time you press the button, Repeat play mode changes, and the REPEAT indicator changes to light as follows:

REPEAT ALL: Repeats all the tracks of all MDs in MD deck B continuously or at random, or all the tracks in the program.

REPEAT 1 MD: • Repeats the MD in MD deck A continuously or at random, or all the tracks in the program.

• Repeats an MD in MD deck B continuously.

REPEAT 1: Repeats one track.

REPEAT MD ALL:

Repeats all loaded MDs in MD decks A and B continuously.

“4MD PLAY” appears during play.

*You can select “REPEAT ALL” only when using MD deck B.

**If you press PLAY MODE while using MD deck B, “REPEAT 1 MD” is canceled.

***If you press PLAY MODE, “REPEAT MD ALL” is canceled.

To cancel Repeat play, press REPEAT repeatedly until no REPEAT indicator lights on the display.

To prohibit disc ejection — Disc Lock

You can prohibit CD and MD ejection from the unit, and can lock discs.
