When connecting a DBS tuner to the component video input jacks, select “CMPNT SELECT” (see page 26) to “DBS.” If you do not, you cannot view the playback picture on the TV.

You can enjoy digital sound if using a digital coaxial or optical cable. When shipped from the factory, the digital optical terminal (DIGITAL IN 2 (DBS)) on the rear of the receiver is set for a DBS tuner. For details of digital audio connection, see page 14.
