Selecting percussion instrument sounds

You can play percussion instrument sounds from the keyboard.

Press the PROGRAM GROUP [PERCUSSION] switch

Select a program

If you select one of the programs ending with the word “kit” - (“GM kit 1”–“SFX kit”)

on page “5/6,” a different instrument will be assigned to each note of the keyboard. Refer to the Drum Kit List.

Selecting sounds from the [USER] program group

You can rearrange the [USER] program group so that the programs can be played more conve- niently, or create your own program group containing your favorite programs. (☞ p.34)

A list of the programs loaded into the SP-500 will appear.
