Recording

1.Recording your performance

Just as you would record your performance on a tape recorder, you can capture your playing on the SP-500 song recorder. You can also record multiple tracks and edit any mistakes you may make.

Basic recording (Realtime Recording)

Here’s how to record a song you play from the keyboard without using automatic accompani- ment.

Press the RECORDER [RECORD] switch

When the basic screen is displayed, press the RECORDER [RECORD] switch. The “Rec

1/3” page will appear, and the [RECORD] switch will blink.

A “New Song” containing no performance data will be selected automatically.

If you want to record without using automatic accompaniment, turn the [ACC] switch off. (p.37)

Recording

Check the tracks that you want to record, and select a program

Make sure that the “KBD,” “Control,” and “Chord” track buttons are set to “Rec.”

Press the “Program” cell, and select the program for the track you will play. (p.24)

If you want to use the Split or Layer function

Press the [SPLIT] switch or [LAYER] switch to select Split or Layer, and then select the desired program. (p.26)
