1.Position the personal transporter to minimize the gap distance between the personal transporter seat and the seat to which you are transferring.

2.Ensure the casters are aligned parallel with the object.

3.Ensure footrest is in up position.

4.Unless being used for support, place armrests in vertical position.

5.Engage motor locks.

6.Shift body weight into seat with transfer.

During independent transfer, little or no seat platform will be beneath you. Use a transfer board if at all possible.

WARNING!

– Avoid storing or using the personal transporter near open flame or combustible products. Serious injury or damage to property may result.

–Invacare has tested its personal transporters in accordance with RESNA WC — 2:2009, Section 9 Part 7.3 “Rain Test”. This provides the end user or his/her attendant sufficient time to remove his/her personal transporter from a rain storm and retain personal transporter operation.

–DO NOT leave personal transporter in a rain storm of any kind.

–DO NOT use personal transporter in a shower.

–DO NOT leave personal transporter in a damp area for any length of time.

–Direct exposure to rain or dampness will cause the personal transporter to malfunction electrically and mechanically; may cause the personal transporter to prematurely rust or may damage the upholstery.

–Check to ensure that the battery covers are secured in place, joystick boot is NOT torn or cracked where water can enter and that all electrical connections are secure at all times.

WARNING!

– DO NOT use if the joystick boot is torn or cracked. If the joystick boot becomes torn or cracked, replace
