SECTION 6—SEAT

REPLACING SEAT POSITIONING STRAP

WARNING

ALWAYS wear your seat positioning strap.

The seat positioning strap is a positioning belt ONLY. It is not designed for use as a safety device withstanding high stress loads such as auto or aircraft safety belts. If signs of wear appear, belt MUST be replaced immediately.

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 6.2.

1.Remove the locknut that secures one (1) half of the seat positioning strap to the wheelchair frame.

2.Slide the seat positioning strap half from the wheelchair frame.

NOTE: DO NOT remove the mounting screw.

3.Position one (1) new seat positioning strap half on the mounting screw.

4.Reinstall the locknut that secures the seat positioning strap half to the wheelchair frame.

5.Repeat STEPS 1- 4 for the other half of the seat positioning strap.
