Options Menu

Function	Purpose	Section
Communications	Access the window used to specify PC port and	4.4
	communication parameters to be used by the CN8-SW
	software. These parameters will override (but not
	change) the communication settings in your operating
	system for the selected port.
Logging	Access the window used to specify the time interval at	11
[Stop Logging]	which PV and SP for all controllers should be written to a
	log file, name the file, and turn on logging. When logging
	is active, this menu item becomes Stop Logging.
Start Find Controllers	Start the process used by the CN8-SW software to poll	4.4.2
[Stop Find	each possible address on the network to see if there is a
Controllers]	controller at that address. When this process is active,
	this menu item becomes Stop Find Controllers. The
	alternative to using this automatic process to enable the
	CN8-SW computer to recognize controllers is to recognize
	controllers one at a time using the Controller menu Add
	function.

Ramp/Soak Menu

Function	Purpose	Section
New	Access the window used to begin the process of	9.2.1
	configuring a new ramp and soak recipe to be executed
	under the direction of CN8-SW.
Edit	Access the window used to select an existing recipe (on	9.2.2
	any accessible drive) for edit.
Run	Access the window used to select an existing recipe to	9.3.1
	run on one or more controllers.
Hold	Access the window used to hold (pause) execution of an	9.3.2
	active (running) recipe on one or more controllers. While
	a controller is in hold, its setpoint will not be changed.
Resume	Access the window used to resume (continue) execution	9.3.3
	of a ÒheldÓ recipe in one or more controllers.
Stop	Access the window used to stop (terminate) the execution	9.3.3
	of an active or ÒheldÓ recipe in one or more controllers.
