Charging the Batteries

Charging the Internal Battery

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 6.3.

1.To charge the internal battery, do one of the following:

Connect the AC power adapter (if charging from a wall outlet) to the input power connector located on the side of the unit and then plug the other end of the power adapter into the power source.

Connect the DC power adapter (if charging from a vehicle) to the input power connector located on the side of the unit and then plug the other end of the power adapter into the power source.

NOTE: If internal battery is completely discharged, it will fully charge in approximately 3 to 4 hours. The battery gauge will illuminate during charging. It is recommended to recharge the internal battery, even if only partially depleted, as often as possible.
