5 FRONT RIGGINGS

5.2Swingaway Footrest Height Adjustment

1.Remove the swingaway footrest assembly. Refer to Installing/Removing the Swingaway Footrest Assembly on page 34.

Lay the assembly on a flat surface to simplify this procedure.

2.Remove impact guards and/or calf strap, if necessary.

3.Perform one of the following:

A.Wheelchairs equipped with 80° swingaway footrest (Model J923A-14):

•Loosen, but do not remove the bolt and lock nut that secure the lower footrest assembly to the upper footrest support.

•Reposition the lower footrest assembly to the desired height.

•Securely tighten the bolt and locknut.

B.Wheelchairs equipped with 70° swingaway footrest (Model Number J932A) OR 90° swingaway footrest (Model J933A):

•Remove the bolt, locknut and four washers that secure the lower footrest assembly to the upper footrest support.

•Align the mounting hole of the lower footrest assembly with the desired height adjustment hole in the lower footrest support.

•Reinstall the bolt through the desired height adjustment hole in the lower footrest assembly and through the mounting hole in the lower footrest support. Securely tighten with the locknut and four washers.

4.Repeat this procedure for the other footrest, if necessary.

5.Replace impact guards and/or calf strap, if necessary.

6.Reinstall the swingaway footrest assembly. Refer to Installing/Removing the Swingaway Footrest Assembly on page 34.
