50Using the answering machine via the handset

If you select a message to be deleted, it will be deleted at the end of playback after the 8 second countdown and confirmation tone.

If you decide not to delete, press SAVE option button during the countdown.

You can use your BT Lyric 2500 for a variety of functions: to listen to your messages; delete, skip forward or backward; record a memo or new outgoing message, and to screen incoming calls.

Message playback

1.Press the option button.

The display will show Play Messages and the number of new messages and the number of total messages (old and new).

2.To play new message only:

Press NEW option button.

Your new messages will be played. To play all messages (old and new):

Press ALL option button.

All your messages will be played in the order they were received.

During playback:

Press

once to repeat the current message.

twice to play the previous message.

to delete the current message.
