9Close the cardholder by pivoting the cover back to its connector base (see Figure 11).
10Lock each MSAM cardholder by sliding its locking plate, as shown by the LOCK arrow, until the plate stops (see Figure 10).

CAUTION Before connecting any peripheral device, remove the power cord from the back of the terminal and be sure the LED is not lit. Reconnect the power cord only after you are finished connecting the peripheral device(s). For complete information about peripheral installation and use, refer to the user documentation supplied with those devices.
