Opening the Call Menu

Making a Manual Telephone Call

Open the Call Menu using any of these five methods*:

Move the cursor to hilight the Call Type icon

You may want to adjust the Call Settings before you start your telephone call, see Adjusting Call Settings for more.

Press OK to produce the submenu and use the cursor keys to move down to Telephone and press OK to select.

Now enter the phone number and do the same as when Making a Video Call – Dialling Manually – see that part for more on this.

 

Making a Telephone Call Using Speed Dialling

Press the soft key corresponding to whom you want to call.

Wait for the call to connect.

Making a Telephone Call Using the Phone Book

Requirements

The TANDBERG 150MXP comes with an internet interface only, it cannot be connected to a traditional telephone socket. Telephone calls from the 150MXP to the public switched telephone network

Use the Cursor keys to navigate to the Phone Book icon and press OK.

Use the procedure described in Making Video Call Using the Phone Book. to locate the entry you want to call and to make the call.

The call setup for an entry will specify the type of call that will be made. If the entry is listed as a telephone type of call, a telephone call will be made, so there should be no reason to worry about the possibility of making the wrong type of call.

(PSTN) will require the presence of certain infrastructure. Consult your System Adminstrator to get information on this and the prefixes you may need to dial to connect to the PSTN.
