1.15 MIF Commands

The FS-1503 can be remotely controlled by the FURUNO external device, for example, NBDP Terminal, DSC Terminal, Remote Station, with MIF commands. The table below shows the applicable MIF commands.

Operation

 

 

DRS

Locks keyboard. This command has priority over 1503's 2182 kHz.

 

 

DRR

Unlocks keyboard.

 

 

FZS

Locks keyboard. FS-1503's 2182 kHz setting has priority.

 

 

FZR

Unlocks keyboard.

 

 

EMx

Class of emission. x=Single digit denoting class of emission (0: LSB, 1: J3E,

 

2: H3E, 5: TLX, 6: FAX).

 

 

FTxxxxxxx

Tx frequency. x=7-digit frequency from 10 MHz to 10 Hz.

 

 

FRxxxxxxx

Rx frequency. x=7-digit frequency from 10 MHz to 10 Hz.

 

 

STxxxx

Registers set class of emission and Rx/Tx frequency as user channel.

 

x=4-digit user channel.

 

 

CHxxxx

Sets user channel. x=4-digit band and channel.

 

 

RCxxxx

Same as above.

 

 

CHIxxxxx

Sets ITU channel x=5-digit band and channel number composed of 2-digit band

 

and 3-digit channel.

 

 

RCIxxxxx

Same as above.

 

 

AGS

Activates AGC.

 

 

AGR

Deactivates AGC.

 

 

RFxx

Sets RF GAIN. x=FF: RF GAIN MAX., 00: RF GAIN MIN.

 

 

SQS

Activates squelch.

 

 

SQR

Deactivates squelch.

 

 

SCS

Starts scanning.

 

 

SCR

Stops scanning.

 

 

POx

Sets output power. x=0, 1, 2: LOW, 3: HIGH

 

 

TU

Tunes antenna coupler. *: tuning successful, ?: tuning error.

 

 

ICxS

Calls on intercom. x=Calling number.

 

 

ICxR

Stops call on intercom. x=Calling number.

 

 

CAID

Confirms equipment name. #IDFS1503 is returned.

 

 

CAEM

Confirms class of emission. #EM is returned.

 

 

CAFT

Confirms Tx frequency. #FTxxxxxxx is returned.

 

 

CAFR

Confirms Rx frequency. #FRxxxxxxx is returned.

 

 

CACH

Confirms channel. #CHxxxx, #CHIxxxxx is returned.

 

 

CARC

Confirms channel. #RCxxxx, #RCIxxxxx is returned.

 

 

CAAG

Confirms AGC state. #AGS: ON, #AGR: OFF

 

 

CARF

Confirms RF GAIN state. #RFxx (xx = 00-FF) is returned.

 

 

CASL

Confirms signal level. #SLxx (xx = 00-FF) is returned.

 

 

CASQ

Confirms squelch state. #SQS: ON, #SQR: OFF

 

 

CAPO

Confirms Tx output power. #POx is returned.
