Fn - Select Modulation (Compatibility only)

This command selects the modulation to be used during data connection.

This command is enabled for compatibility only, and using N command and S37 register is the recommended way of selecting the desired modulation.

The F command will change the settings of both the N command and the S37 register.

F0 Enables automoding. Sets N1, sets S37 to 0. This command instructs the modem to connect at the highest speed supported by both modems. (default)

F1 Disables automoding. This command sets N0, sets S37 to 1.

F2 Disables automoding. This command sets N0, sets S37 to 0.

F3 Disables automoding. This command sets N0, sets S37 to 7.

F4 Disables automoding. This command sets N0, sets S37 to 5.

F5 Disables automoding. This command sets N0, sets S37 to 6.

F6 Disables automoding. This command sets N0, sets S37 to 8.

F7 Disables automoding. This command sets N0, sets S37 to 12.

F8 Disables automoding. This command sets N0, sets S37 to 9.

F9 Disables automoding. This command sets N0, sets S37 to 10.

F10 Disables automoding. This command sets N0, sets S37 to 11.

Hn - Disconnect and hook control

H0 If in on-line mode this command will instruct the modem to initiate disconnect procedure, and then go on-hook. If already off-line this command will simply force the modem to go on-hook.

H1 If on-hook, The modem will go off-hook.

In - Modem Identification

I0 Reports product code.

I1 Returns OK.

I2 Returns OK.

I3 Reports The modem version.

Mn - Speaker Control

This command controls the speaker of the modem.

M0 Speaker is always off

M1 Speaker is on during call setup, and off after connect (default)

M2 Speaker is always on

M3 Speaker is off during call setup, but on during answering

Nn - Automoding Control

This command controls automoding.

N0 Automoding is disabled. The data connection will be attempted according to S37 setting.

N1 Automoding is enabled. The highest speed is controlled by S37 register. If S37 is set to 0, The connection will be established at the highest speed supported by both modems.
