Answering System
Answering system
Available for:
The answering system can answer and record calls for you when you are unavailable to answer the phone.
You can also set the unit to play a greeting message but not to record caller messages by selecting “Greeting Only” as the recording time setting (page 30).
Important:
L Only 1 person can access the answering system (listen to messages, record a greeting message, etc.) at a time.
L When callers leave messages, the unit records the day and time of each message. Make sure the date and time have been set correctly (page 15).
Memory capacity (including your greeting message)
The total recording capacity is about 20 minutes. A maximum of 64 messages can be recorded.

L If message memory becomes full, “Messages Full” is shown on the handset display.

Call screening
While a caller is leaving a message, you can listen to the call through the handset’s speaker. To adjust the speaker volume, press {^} or {V} repeatedly. You can answer the call by pressing {C} on the handset. Call screening can be set for each handset. The default setting is “On”.
