Character entry
The dial keys are used to enter characters and numbers. Each dial key has multiple characters assigned to it. You can select which character is entered by pressing a dial key repeatedly.
–Press {<} or {>} to move the cursor.
–Press dial keys to enter characters and numbers.
–Press {DEL} to erase the character or number left of the cursor. Press and hold {DEL} to erase all characters or numbers.
–Press {*} to switch between uppercase and lowercase.
–To enter another character located on the same dial key, press {>} or wait 2 seconds to move the cursor to the next space, then press the appropriate dial key.
–{DEL} and {OK} are valid when the character list is shown on the bottom of the handset display.

Error messages
Error message | Cause & solution |
Busy | L Intercom call failed (the other handset cannot be found or |
| is on an outside call). Try again later. |
| L Another handset is being used. Try again later. |
| L Cancelling a handset failed. Try again (page 19). |
No Base Found | L Handset registration failed (page 19). Try again. |
Wrong PIN! | L Insert the correct base unit PIN. If you forget your base |
| unit PIN, consult your nearest Panasonic service centre. |
