Useful Information

Character entry

The dial keys are used to enter characters and numbers. Each dial key has multiple characters assigned to it. You can select which character is entered by pressing a dial key repeatedly.

Press {<} or {>} to move the cursor.

Press dial keys to enter characters and numbers.

Press {DEL} to erase the character or number left of the cursor. Press and hold {DEL} to erase all characters or numbers.

Press {*} to switch between uppercase and lowercase.

To enter another character located on the same dial key, press {>} or wait 2 seconds to move the cursor to the next space, then press the appropriate dial key.

{DEL} and {OK} are valid when the character list is shown on the bottom of the handset display.

L The following are used for both uppercase and lowercase:

L Intercom call failed (the other handset cannot be found or

 

is on an outside call). Try again later.

 

L Another handset is being used. Try again later.

 

L Cancelling a handset failed. Try again (page 19).

No Base Found

L Handset registration failed (page 19). Try again.

Wrong PIN!

L Insert the correct base unit PIN. If you forget your base

 

unit PIN, consult your nearest Panasonic service centre.
