Storing an SMS message

When you store an SMS message, the phone sends the SMS message before dialling the priority call number.

Note:

RMake sure the SMS service centre number is stored (page 21).

Turning the buzzer on/off

The default setting is On.

Security settings

PIN code

PIN1/PIN2 protects your SIM card against unauthorised use. PIN1 is used for security to

limit access to the phone. PIN2 is used to control security of certain provided services such as fixed dial (page 23). Both PIN numbers are issued by your network operator.

Important:

RIf you enter the incorrect PIN1/PIN2 code 3 times, the SIM card is locked. Enter the

8-digit PUK1 code for PIN1 or the 8-digit PUK2 code for PIN2 to unlock. Both PUK numbers are issued by your network operator.

RIf you enter the incorrect PUK1 code 10 times, the SIM card is permanently locked. The SIM card will need to be replaced as all information stored will be lost. If you enter the incorrect PUK2 code 10 times, services controlled by PIN2 code cannot be used. Contact your network operator for further information.

Setting the PIN1 code request

When you turn this feature on, you must enter PIN1 code each time the phone is turned on. The default setting is followed by the SIM card setting.

Important:

RThe PIN1 code request cannot be set to Offwith some SIM card types.

Phone code

The phone code protects the phone against unauthorised use.
