Messages

Problem

I cannot send text messages (SMS).

I cannot receive text messages (SMS).

I cannot receive voicemail message notifications.

I cannot receive text messages (SMS) even though the phone has enough memory to receive messages.

I cannot receive E-mail messages.

Cause/solution

RThe phone could not connect to the service centre. Confirm that the correct service centre number is stored (page 21).

RConnection to service centre is temporarily down. Wait and try again later.

RThe destination phone number is incorrect. Enter the correct destination phone number (page 21) and try again.

RFixed dialling feature is enabled (page 23). Disable it.

RRecipient is currently out of network or has turned their power off. Wait and try again later.

RThe service centre number is not stored or is incorrect. Store the correct number (page 21).

RText message (SMS) transmission was interrupted. Wait until the text message (SMS) has been sent before using phone functions.

RWhen the text message (SMS) memory is full, you may not be able to receive any new voicemail message notifications. Erase unnecessary text messages (SMS) to receive new voicemail message notifications (page 21).

RSome kind of text messages (SMS) can be received to the SIM card only. Check the memory status in the SIM card (page 21) and erase unnecessary text messages (SMS) (page 21).

RThis phone only supports text message (SMS) services. Contact your network operator for details of this service.

Liquid damage

Problem

Liquid or other form of moisture has entered the phone/charger.

Caution:

Cause/solution

RDisconnect the AC adaptor from the phone/charger. Remove the SIM card and battery from the phone and leave to dry for at least 3 days. After the phone/charger are completely dry, insert the SIM card and battery into the phone. Then reconnect the AC adaptor to charge fully before use. If the phone does not work properly, contact your place of purchase or nearest Panasonic service centre.

RTo avoid permanent damage, do not use a microwave oven to speed up the drying process.
