Making/Answering Calls

Making calls

1Enter the phone number (40 digits max.). R To correct a digit, press MC/N.

2Press MN to dial.

3Press MN to end the call.

Note:

RTo insert a pause, press and hold MN until pis displayed. A 3 second pause is inserted each time pis displayed.

RTo set the auto redial feature, see page 26.

Using the speakerphone

1Enter the phone number and press MN. R Speak alternately with the other party.

2Press MN to end the call.

Note:

RFor best performance, use the speakerphone in a quiet environment.

RTo switch back to the receiver, press MN or MN.

Adjusting the receiver or speaker volume

There are 6 volume levels (1 to 6) available. Press MN or MN repeatedly while talking.

RWhen you try to set the receiver volume to level 5 or 6, Access volume booster

mode?is displayed. Press to continue adjusting the volume.

Note:

REven if you set the receiver volume to level 5 or 6, the volume decreases to level 4 when the phone is turned off.

International call

1Press and hold M0 N until the international prefix +is displayed.

2Enter the country/region code, area code, and phone number. MN

Emergency call

To make an emergency call, the phone must be within the range of a GSM network.

To make an emergency call:

Enter the emergency number. MN

Note:

RWhen Limited Serviceis displayed (page 32), you may not be able to make an emergency call. Call the international emergency number “112”, if your country supports this number.

RIf you find that a number does not work on your phone, or for details of emergency numbers, please contact your network operator.

Answering calls

When a call is being received, the ringer indicator flashes.

1Press MN or MN to answer a call.

R You can also answer a call by pressing any dial key from M0N to M9N, MN, or M#N. (Any key answer feature: page 26)

R To reject the call, press MN.

2Press MN to end the call.

Adjusting the ringer volume

nWhile the phone is ringing for an incoming call:

Press MN or MN repeatedly to select the desired volume.

R You cannot adjust the ringer volume while the phone is ringing in silent mode (page 14).

nProgramming the volume beforehand:
