Rechargeable batteries can develop a “memory” (reduced charge capacity) caused by repeated charge and discharge cycles. The battery life will seem to be shorter every time you use the unit.

To Avoid this Memory Effect

At least once a month, operate the unit until the “Battery Low” indicator appears. Then recharge the battery for a full 15 - 20 hours. Avoid putting the handset back in the base after using the phone for a short time. This could cause “topping off” the charge. Also, do not charge the Rechargeable Battery for extended periods of time.
