Maintenance
Before performing any maintenance on the machine, disconnect it from the electrical supply by pulling out the plug or switching off the main switch. Failure to comply may cause serious injury.
Keep the table surfaces clean and free of rust. If rust appears on the tables, use 000 steel wool with a paste mixture of household ammonia and good commercial detergent (or use a commercial rust remover available from most hardware stores.)
A light coat of paste wax on the tables will help protect them from tarnish and reduce friction between table and workpiece. NOTE: Do not get paste wax on the abrasive belt or disc.
Check all fasteners for tightness.
Inspect the power cord; if worn, cut, or damaged in any way, have it replaced immediately.
Inspect the abrasive belt and disc. If either is worn, replace it.
Occasionally remove the belt cover and brush out any shavings or debris from around the wheels.
Lubrication
All of the ball bearings are packed with grease and sealed at the factory. They require no further lubrication.
