4.Secure the table by retightening the trun- nion bolts. Recheck the table position to ensure that unwanted shifting did not occur during retightening.

Belt Tensioning

The motor and motor mounting plate are already assembled in the base of the saw. See Figure

23.In the event any disassembly of the bandsaw is required, you may need to realign the motor pulley and the lower wheel pulley.

To perform the alignment:

1.Check for proper pulley alignment by plac- ing a straightedge on the outside edge of the upper pulley so that it overlaps the motor pulley. If the straightedge does not touch both pulleys evenly, the pulleys are not aligned. Loosen one or both of the pul- ley setscrews on their shafts and slide the pulleys toward alignment. Remember to retighten the setscrews when finished. See Figure 24.

Disconnect power to the machine when perform- ing any adjustments or maintenance. Failure to do this may result in seri- ous personal injury.
