Using the
8.1Logo Graphics Characteristics and Limitations
The logo can only be derived from a graphic that is in bitmap file format1, within the following limitations:
The maximum total number of pixels in the graphic (width multiplied by height) should be 85,000 pixels
You can set the width of the graphic to a maximum2 of 686 pixels3
You can set the height of the graphic to a maximum2 of 576 pixels4
The maximum size of the bitmap file should be 250KB
The recommended color resolution should be 16 bit or better5
As long as the total value of pixels does not exceed 85,000 (see Figure 9), you can choose any width (up to 686 pixels) or any height (up to 576 pixels).
For example, if the width of the graphic is 360 pixels, the height should not exceed 236 pixels, since 360 multiplied by 236 equals 84,960 (almost the 85,000 limit). A width of 291 pixels and a height of 292 pixels is also applicable because when multiplied, the result does not exceed the 85,000 pixel limit. So, when choosing the width to be 686 pixels, you can set the height to be up to 123 pixels, for the same reason (686 x 123 = 84,378 < 85,000).
