BELT REPLACEMENT

Should you find it necessary to replace the belt on your saw, proceed as follows:

1.DISCONNECT THE TOOL FROM THE POWER SOURCE.

2.Raise the saw blade to its maximum height and remove the blade guard and splitter, table insert and saw blade. Tilt the arbor to the 45 degree tilt position.

3.Turn the saw upside down and place it on a flat non- scratch surface.

4.Remove the four screws (A) Fig. 65, and cover (B) from the end of the motor housing.

5.Remove the screw and washer (C) Fig. 66. Slide belt

(D) off the motor shaft (E) and arbor pulley (F).

6.Place new belt (D) Fig. 67, on teeth of arbor pulley (F) and motor shaft (E) as shown. Push in belt (D) and at the

same time turn arbor pulley (F) until the belt is completely engaged.

7.Replace screw and washer (C) Fig. 66, and cover that were removed in STEP 4.
