Settings for connecting with the remote cameras and switcher (continued)

<Operating procedure>

1.Connect the additional remote cameras and switcher to be introduced and the unit to the network within the same subnet.

2.Open AUTO IP menu [37], turn the F2 dial to display “KEEP IP ADR” and press the F2 dial.

Both the number of devices (all remote cameras and the switcher) currently being managed by the unit and the number of new devices detected are displayed on the LCD panel.

3.Turn the F2 dial to select “Yes”, and then press the F2 dial.

Auto IP setting starts.

During auto IP setting, the progress is indicated by the number of “” which are reduced one by one.

When all the operations have been completed successfully, the following message appears.

The remote cameras can now be operated from the unit.

The function for linking the switcher with the unit can now be used.

zzWhen there is duplication between the IP addresses of the devices in operation and the IP addresses of the additional remote cameras to be introduced, the following message appears and the link settings are not configured.

IP Duplicate!

Check the IP addresses of the additional remote cameras to be introduced, and then perform the auto IP setting operation again.

zzWhen setting the IP addresses failed, the following message appears.

1.AUTO SET

SET UP ERR!

The cause of the problem is likely to be a network malfunction. Check the connection status of the hub and LAN cables, and then retry the auto IP setting operation.

Connection device detection

zzWhen the number of new devices detected by “RENEW IP ADR” or “KEEP IP ADR” exceeds the number of devices that can be registered (100 remote cameras and 1 switcher), “C/S OVER!” appears on the bottom line of the LCD panel.

Auto IP setting can be executed even in this state, but IP addresses will be set only for the number of devices that can be registered.

zzThe unit may not be able to detect all of the remote cameras when, for example, multiple remote cameras are started at the same time. In such a case, select “RETRY” and then press the F2 dial to retry the operation.

zzWhen the number displayed for the number of new devices detected is lower than the actual number of devices to be set for reasons such as some of the remote cameras or the switcher not being powered on, resolve the problem and then select “RETRY” and press the F2 dial to execute the operation again.

zzWhen adding another remote camera controller (AW-RP120 [this unit] or AW-RP50), set an IP address that is not a duplicate of any IP address within the same network before making the connection.

zzExecute auto IP setting when devices not applicable for auto IP setting (devices other than the remote cameras and switcher) are in a non-operation state. After executing auto IP setting, connect these devices after checking that there is no duplicate IP address within the same network.
