Set the SCSI Bus Address
There maybe up to eight devices(which includes the SCSIadapter) connectedto a SCSI bus. Each devicemust havea unique address,from 0 to 7. The bus addressdetermines the device’spriority on the bus.Sevenis the highest priority and zero is the lowest priority.
Switches3,2, and 1 are usedto set the adapter’saddresson the SCSIbus. In binary, switch 3 representsthe most significant digit. When shipped from the factory, the addressis set to 7 (switches3,2, and 1 are eachset to “l”, that is, in the “open”position) asshownin figure
For most applications, “7”is the best choice for the adapter’s SCSI busaddress. Table
