Figure l-10 showsa typical installation with both the SCSIport and parallel port cables attached (the useof the parallel port is not supported for MPE XL systems).

CAUTION	Do not connect serial cables (for example,RS-232cables) to the parallel
	port. Connecting serial cables can damagethe SCSI/parallel adapter.

Note	SCSIcableswith high density squeeze-latchor thumbscrewconnectors
	canbe attached to the SCSI port. However, cableswith thumbscrew
	connectorsare recommended for improved reliability. The SCSIcable
	supplied with this product provides a thumbscrew connector.
