c)TENSION ADJUSTMENT OF THE DOOR SPRING

Your dishwasher’s outer door is attached to springs. These are set at the factory to ensure they’re at the proper tension so that the door can open and close smoothly and conveniently.

Note: If you have installed a cover panel over the door, you will have to adjust the door spring tension.

Using an Allen key, rotate the adjusting screw to tighten or slacken the steel cable. You must do this or damage to your dishwasher may result.

The door’s spring tension is good when the door remains horizontal in the fully opened position, yet rises to a close with the slight lift of a finger.

Warning: failure to adjust the door spring tension could result in damage to your dishwasher!
