NOTE: When installing into a masonry fireplace, the fire- place must be built to national and/or local codes. Do not remove brick or mortar from masonry fireplace to accom- modate insert. The permanent metal warning plate provided must be attached to the back of the fireplace stating the fire- place may have been altered to accommodate the insert and must be returned to original condition for use as a conven- tional fireplace.
