The Stitch and Its Uses

This stitch pattern, a variation of the straight stitch, is a narrow stretch stitch designed to eliminate puckering on knit fabrics and bias

seams.

On tricot and filmy chiffons, _t can be used to seam and overcast at the same time to

produce a narrow, almost inwsible seam or seam finish,

Here's How:

1.Place your fabric edge on the 5f8" seam line in order to produce a 5!8" seam.

2.Sew as you would a straight stitch.

Helpful Hints (for lightweight fabrics)

1, Set the pressure adjusting lever at "1 '" or "2"

2.To seam and overcast tricot:

a.Set thestitch width at '3"

b° Sew with the right hand stitch falling off the fabric edge.
