CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning the Hook Race

WARNING:

Turn the power switch off and unplug the machine before cleaning.

NOTE:

Do not dismantle the machine in any way other than what is explained in this section.

Clean the outside of the machine with a soft cloth and mild soap.

zRemove the setscrews with the screwdriver supplied with the machine. Remove the needle plate.

xLift up the bobbin holder and remove it. q Screwdriver

cClean the bobbin holder with a lint brush. r Bobbin holder

vClean the Auto thread cutter mechanism and hook race with the lint brush.

bClean the hook race with a dry cloth. (You may also use a vacuum cleaner.)

Assemble the hook race

nInsert the bobbin holder so that the knob fits next to the stopper in the hook race.

mReattach the needle plate, aligning the needle plate guide pins with the guide holes on the needle plate and tighten the screw.

NOTE:

After cleaning the machine, make sure the needle and presser foot are attached.
