Introduction

Inline Power Injector (PoE)

The AWK-1200-AP is equipped with an Inline Power Injector module. The Inline Power Injector (PoE) delivers both data and power to the AWK-1200-AP unit through a single Ethernet cable, and provides the following benefits to improve the performance vs. installation cost ratio.

yGreat for areas that do not have a ready power supply, such as the roof of a house.

yAllows placing the AWK-1200-AP unit closer to the antenna, to make installation easier, and reduce signal loss over antenna cabling.

yEthernet signal travels well over CAT 5 cable but 2.4 GHz signal doesn’t do as well over antenna cabling.

yEthernet cabling is much cheaper than antenna cabling.
