Chapter 6: Troubleshooting
Most problems are easy to fix. Consult the troubleshooting table for common problems and their solutions. If you continue to experience problems, call Country Home Products, Inc. for support.
Troubleshooting Table
WARNING! Before performing any maintenance procedure, stop the
| engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. |

SYMPTOM | POSSIBLE CAUSE |
|
Recoil will not | ⇒ Check for debris in the Chipper Hopper. |
|
pull out or is | ⇒ Check the engine oil level, the engine may be seized. |
|
difficult to pull. |

⇒ There may be an oil compression lock in the cylinder. |

|

| Take out the spark plug; hold a rag over the spark |
|
| plug hole and pull the recoil cord several times to blow |
|
| out any oil in the cylinder. Wipe off the spark plug and |
|
| reinstall it. |
|
| ⇒ The recoil may be broken or jammed. Call 1(800) DR- |
|

The engine | ⇒ Check that the spark plug wire is attached. |
|
won’t start. | ⇒ Check the oil and gas level. See page 23. |

| ⇒ Are you using fresh, clean gas? If the gas is old, |
