DO NOT operate water heater if any external part has been under water. Immediately call a qualified service technician to inspect the water heater and to replace any part of the control system including gas controls, which has been under water.

Do not attempt to convert this water heater for use with a gas other than the type for which it is equipped. DO NOT operate this water heater if the input rate exceeds the rate shown on the water heater rating plate.

This water heater contains very hot water under high pressure. Always wear protective clothing and equipment when installing, starting up or servicing this water heater to prevent scald injuries. Do not rely on the temperature gauges to determine the temperature. Do not touch any components unless they are cool.

Always use proper safety clothing, respirators and equipment when servicing or working nearby this water heater.
