11.When the water has boiled the kettle will switch off automatically, the switch will return to the “OFF” position and the light will go out. The kettle can be switched off at any time before the water boils
by pressing the rear of the switch.
12.When you lift the kettle (from the base on cordless model only), you may see moisture on the surface (of the base for cordless model only). This is the steam used to switch the kettle off automatically, which then condenses and is allowed to escape via vents in the underside of the kettle. This is perfectly normal, and should not be a cause for alarm.

How often the filter should be cleaned will vary according to where you live and how often you use your kettle. The filter should be cleaned whenever there are noticeable deposits left on the filter and especially if the rate of pouring decreases.
FILTER REMOVAL/ CLEANING/ REFITTING
IMPORTANT: The kettle must be switched off, disconnected from the power outlet and allowed to cool down completely prior to removal or refitting the filter. Do not use excessive force, as this might damage the filter or the lid.
1.To remove the filter (See Figure 1): Empty the kettle and open lid.
2.Hold the kettle by the handle. With the other hand, grip the tab at the rear of the filter, then pull it up and out. IMPORTANT: You must not pull it straight up, otherwise you may hit the front of the lid, damaging it.
Keep your fingers clear of the mesh.
