Tips and Troubleshooting

Toasting is affected by the temperature of the bread. Room temperature bread may toast to a medium color on the medium setting. The same type of bread that has been refrigerated may require a darker setting to reach a medium color.

The moisture content will also affect toasting. Fresh bagels, made locally, will have a higher moisture content than bagels purchased in the bread section of the supermarket. The bagel setting only energizes the outside wall heating ele- ments. A second, shorter toasting cycle may be needed to reach desired browness. Fresh bagels made locally may require two toasting cycles.

Because of the irregular surface of English muffins, they may require more than one toasting cycle. After toasting for one cycle on the darkest setting, if a darker shade is desired, adjust shade selector to a lighter setting and toast for a second cycle. Watch closely to avoid overbrowning. English muffins cut with a knife toast more evenly than English muffins split with a fork.

Many toasters have thermostats that must reset after toast- ing one cycle. The electronic controls of this toaster allow toasting batch after batch, with no waiting for the thermo- stat to reset.

Thick foods may become wedged in the toaster slot. If food becomes jammed, the toaster will automatically shut off at the end of the toasting cycle. Unplug the toaster and let cool. Use a wooden utensil to remove food.

When toasting only one slice, the bread may be placed in any slot of the toaster. When toasting a single slice, you may notice variations in bread color from side to side.

Cleaning

NOTE: If the toaster is used daily, the crumb tray should be cleaned weekly.

1.Unplug toaster and let cool.

2.Slide open crumb tray, discard crumbs

and wipe tray with clean cloth. Replace crumb tray.

3.Wipe outside of toaster with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleansers that may scratch the surface of the toaster.

However, if an alternative is not available, and you must use the toaster, be sure to set the toaster to the lowest possible setting, and never leave the toaster unattended during use.

22900, 22903 specifications

The Hamilton Beach 22903 and 22900 are two versatile and efficient blenders designed for everyday use in the kitchen. Both models are engineered to provide exceptional blending performance, making them ideal for smoothies, soups, sauces, and more.

One of the standout features of the Hamilton Beach 22903 and 22900 is their powerful 700-watt motor. This robust motor ensures that even tough ingredients, such as frozen fruits and ice, are blended smoothly and uniformly. With multiple speed settings, users have the flexibility to adjust blending speeds according to their specific needs. This adaptability allows for precision control when preparing a variety of recipes, from creamy smoothies to chunky salsas.

Both models come equipped with durable stainless steel blades that are designed to withstand heavy use while maintaining sharpness. These blades are optimized for effective cutting and blending, ensuring that all ingredients are processed evenly. The blending jar is crafted from glass, offering a sturdy alternative to plastic, and is dishwasher safe for easy cleanup.

Another key feature is the unique Wave Action System found in these Hamilton Beach blenders. This technology creates a swirling blending action, regularly pulling ingredients down toward the blades for a thorough blend. This innovative design eliminates the need for manual intervention, such as scraping down the sides of the jar, allowing users to achieve consistent results every time.

In terms of design, both the 22903 and 22900 models feature a sleek and compact footprint, making them easy to store on countertops without taking up excessive space. The blending jars have graduated measurements marked on the side, providing convenient measuring without the need for additional cups.

Safety features are also considered in these models, as they include a built-in interlock system that prevents the blender from operating unless the jar is securely in place. This adds an important layer of safety, particularly in households with children.

In summary, the Hamilton Beach 22903 and 22900 blenders offer an impressive combination of power, versatility, and innovative technology. With their easy-to-use features, durable materials, and safety mechanisms, these blenders are ideal for anyone looking to simplify their food preparation while achieving professional-level results at home. Whether creating refreshing smoothies or blending creamy soups, these Hamilton Beach models provide the performance and reliability needed for everyday culinary tasks.
