Care and Maintenance

Maintenance Tasks

Certain areas of your dishwasher require occasional maintenance. The maintenance tasks are easy to perform and will ensure continued superior performance from your dishwasher.

Wiping Up Spills and Splash-out

NOTE: Standing water around or under the dishwasher can cause mold growth. Do not allow water from spills and splashout to remain around or under your dishwasher.

Water may occasionally splash out of your dishwasher, especially if you interrupt a cycle or open the dishwasher door during a cycle. Immediately wipe up any water that spills or splashes out.

Winterizing Your Dishwasher

CAUTION

POSSIBLE DISHWASHER DAMAGE: Freezing temperatures can damage your dishwasher. Do not allow water to remain in your dishwasher water supply or drain systems through extended periods of freezing temperatures.

If your dishwasher will not be used for an extended period of time in a location that experiences freezing temperatures (e.g., in a holiday home or through a vacation period), you must drain all the water from the dishwasher interior.
