PROBLEM

Control knob(s) will not turn

The Self-Cleaning cycle will not operate - -

Cooking results are not what you expected

The display is flashing

“F”followed by a num- ber shows on the dis- play (for example ‘Fl “)

CAUSE

lYou are not pushing in before turning.

lThe clock does not show the correct time of day.

lThe Lock Lever is not all the way to the right.

lYou have programmed a delayed start time. Wait for the start time to be reached.

lThe range is not level. (See Installation Instructions.)

lThe oven temperature seems too low or too high. See “Adjustingthe oven temperature control” on page 17 to adjust oven temperature.

lYou did not preheat the oven before baking (if called for in recipe).

lYou are using a recipe that has never been tested or is not from a reliable source.

lYou are using a pan that is not the correct type or size. Refer to a reliable cookbook or recipe for recommended pan type and size.

lThere is not enough air space around pan when baking. Allow 1l/z to 2 inches (4-5 cm) of air space on all sides of pan. There must be a minimum space of 1 inch.

lThe cooking utensil is too large or too small for the surface burner being used. Pan should be the same size or slightly larger than the surface burner being used.

lThe flame is not the correct size for the cooking utensil being used.

lIf broiling, you have not completely closed the oven door. The broiler provides the best cooking results with the oven door closed.

lThere has been a power failure. Reset the clock. (See page 14.)

lCall for service. (See Step 2 on page 41.)
