Cleaning before use

After you remove all of the packaging materials, clean the inside of your refrigerator before using it. See the cleaning instructions in the “Caring for Your Refrigerator” section for more information.

Keep flammable materials and vapors, such as gasoline, away from refrigerator.

Failure to do so can result in death, explosion, fire, or burns.

•To ensure proper ventilation for your refrigerator, allow for a 1⁄2 -inch (1.25 cm) space on each side and at the top.

•If your refrigerator has an ice maker, make sure you leave some extra space at the back to allow for the water line connections. The refrig- erator can be flush against the back wall if you do not have an ice maker installed.

•If you are installing your refrigerator next to a fixed wall, leave 2 inches minimum on the hinge side (depend- ing on your model) to allow for the door to swing open.

NOTE: Do not install the refrigerator near an oven, radiator, or other heat source, nor in a location where the temperature will fall below 55°F (13°C).
